Baghdadi-Viennese musician Karrar Alsaadi blends jazz with Iraqi scales, aiming for visionary fusion in his music. His deep passion for music stems from Iraq in the 1990s, influencing his distinctive style. He collaborated with Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood and Dudu Tassa on the acclaimed album "Jarak Qaribak" and was the first Iraqi composer nominated for the Nation Stellar Award for his play "Kalishnikov Mon Amour." At his live performances, Karrar bridges his heritage with modern sounds, preserving through music what war has destroyed.
