We’re delighted to announce our next guest curator: Mohamed Ben Saïd.
A Tunisian cultural entrepreneur, festival director, and music curator with over 20 years of experience in concert organization, artist management, booking, and international touring.

His curatorial vision focuses on empowering artists, fostering intercultural dialogue, and promoting sustainable music ecosystems — building bridges between Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Biography

Mohamed Ben Saïd is a Tunisian cultural entrepreneur, festival director, and music curator with over 20 years of experience in artist management, booking, and international touring. He is the founder and CEO of Akacia Productions (Tunis/Paris), a production and booking agency that has collaborated with leading artists from the alternative Arab scene and beyond.

From 2020 to 2025, he served as the Executive Producer of the International Festival of Dougga, transforming the UNESCO World Heritage site into a major cultural destination that bridges heritage, contemporary music, and social innovation. He also directed the music program of the Elyssa Project for the French Institute of Tunisia and previously served as Head of Production for the Carthage Music Days (JMC).

In 2011, Mohamed co-founded the Festival Mousiqa Wassalem, one of Tunisia’s pioneering alternative music events, which showcased emerging and established artists from across North Africa and the MENA region — including Tinariwen, Gnawa Diffusion, Labess, Mashrou’ Leila, and Gultrah Sound System.

A British Council Global Music Leader and an active member of European consortia such as Sounds of Europe and The MOST Mediterranean, Mohamed continues to build bridges between Europe, the Middle East, and Africa through innovative programming that merges artistic excellence with cultural diplomacy. His curatorial vision focuses on empowering artists, fostering intercultural dialogue, and promoting sustainable music ecosystems.

Today, Mohamed Ben Saïd is recognized as a connector between continents and generations, helping reshape the positioning of Arab artists on global stages, and actively exploring new collaborations across the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
