For the finale, the festival center moves to the heart of Favoriten. Salam Music 2024 comes to an atmospheric close with food and music from the Home Fado event series.

Home Fade is a project by the association mosaic, which is dedicated to women who have had to leave their home countries and have experienced difficult life events. The association works with art therapy and sees cooking as a creative process that has a profound effect when done together in a meaningful way.

At Home Fado, visitors come together in a cozy setting at Grätzlmarie to enjoy delicious food together and experience musical performances between courses - this time with the charismatic singer and songwriter Alexia Chrysomalli from Greece, accompanied by Serbian accordionist Miloš Todorovski Together they present traditional Greek songs that reflect the rhythmic and melodic richness and diversity of Greek tradition.

The songs of Alexia Chrysomalli are a captivating blend of ecstatic rhythms and nostalgic melodies that beautifully capture the essence of Greece. Through her voice and her songs, she expresses a deep love for the sun, the sea and an admiration for the landscapes of her homeland. Alexia uses a variety of special scales and rhythms typical of the Greek tradition to convey the pure joy of singing and sharing. A very special sound, full of soul and passion.
