HOME FADO

An event by mosaic – united arts and culinarics and a project by Kulturverein CreaDo in cooperation with Salam Music.

The atmospheric festival finale as a collaboration with Home Fado has by now become a cherished tradition at Salam Music. In a relaxed atmosphere, culinary delights, poetry, and music come together on an evening where art and culture unfold their unifying power.

Between the courses of a lovingly prepared menu, the new project “A Small Wish” unfolds: poems by the Afghan poet Ramin Mazhar enter into dialogue with newly composed songs by singer-songwriter Avin Ahmadi, which she developed together with pianist Reza Tavakoli. The result is a finely interwoven interplay of spoken word, singing and music.

Ramin Mazhar, who has found a new home in Paris, writes from the experience of war, exile and political oppression—his poetry moves between melancholy, resistance and hope. Avin Ahmadi’s music is deeply rooted in the Persian tradition while remaining open to contemporary forms of expression.

Home Fado is a project by the association mosaic, which supports women who have had to leave their homes through art-therapeutic approaches. Cooking is understood as a creative, communal process that enables encounters.
